Arsenal’s summer transfer plans are heating up, and Leroy Sane is now firmly on their radar.
Sane Says Yes to Arsenal – But Gunners Must Raise Wage Offer
The £242,000-per-week Bayern Munich winger is reportedly keen on joining the Gunners after holding talks with manager Mikel Arteta, as per the latest reports.
Despite being close to extending his contract with Bayern Munich, Sane’s situation has taken a twist.
The Germany international recently appointed super-agent Pini Zahavi to renegotiate terms, causing a stall in contract talks with the Bundesliga giants.
This move has opened the door for Premier League clubs — with Arsenal now looking like a serious contender for his signature.
According to CaughtOffside, Sane has received four written offers: from Fenerbahce, Bayern Munich (for an extension), Galatasaray, and Arsenal.
While Fenerbahce’s offer is the most lucrative, followed by Bayern and Galatasaray, Sane’s preference is clear — he wants to return to England and play under Arteta at the Emirates Stadium.
“His preference is Arsenal, but he wants them to offer more in wages,” a source told CaughtOffside.
“His first wish in making his decision is Champions League football, and that’s why he has not told Fenerbahce yes.”
Christian Falk also confirmed that Arsenal have already held talks with Sane’s representatives.
A reunion with Arteta, who worked with Sane during their time at Manchester City, could be the defining factor in Arsenal’s favour.
With Bukayo Saka’s injury troubles last season and questions around Leandro Trossard’s long-term future, a player of Sane’s pedigree would bring quality, depth, and valuable experience to Arsenal’s wide options.
The ball is now in Arsenal’s court. If they can match Sane’s financial expectations and ensure a clear role in their Champions League campaign, the Emirates could soon welcome another world-class talent ready to light up the Premier League once again.
