Torreira has seen a permanent move to Fiorentina fall through, but he could yet return to Serie A.
Roma are keen and the midfielder says he would welcome the chance to play for Jose Mourinho.
Torreira said, “I spoke with Mourinho some time ago. He’s a coach I admire, it’s a possibility that entices me, but it’s not easy.
For the moment, Torreira is expected to join Arsenal for preseason this week.
The Uruguay international appeared in 31 Serie A matches and scored 5 goals. His conversation with Mourinho raised more updates on his future.
Juventus has also been offered the chance to sign Lucas Torreira after his impressive loan spell at Fiorentina last season.
