Lucas Torreira has killed all rumours of him leaving for AC Milan this summer by claiming to be happy at Arsenal.
The 23-year-old has emerged as a star player in the Gunners dressing room after only one season with them. However, he raised a round of speculation in the media when he admitted to be unsettled in the London life.
The Uruguayan is greatly affected by the language barrier which he apparently did not face, back in his old club, Sampdoria. Of course, news outlets immediately started drawing links between him and other potential suitors, AC Milan being the most popular due to their new manager, Marco Giampaolo.
Torreira reportedly wanted to reunite with his former boss as the Rossoneri plans on revamping as Tiemoue Bakayoko prepares to return to Chelsea. The Arsenal midfielder has denied all claims.
He told reporters, “Nobody from AC Milan has got in touch with me. Today I’m in the Premier League and happy to be part of it. It just took time to adapt. It’s not easy, but I only think about that team. I’m happy to be here at Arsenal.”
Reputable journalist, David Ornstein has also stated that the North London outfit has no plans of selling the midfield enforcer.
