Ligue 1 side Lyon have reportedly made a €25m bid for Arsenal target Bruno Guimaraes.

The 22 year old midfielder has made an impact in South America this season. He has also made the cut for the u-23 side in Brazil and looks like a real deal.

There are multiple European clubs interested in his service. It seems now Arsenal who want to sign Guimaraes also will have to face off stiff competition from Lyon.

Edu was reportedly in South America last week, talking to Athletico Paranaense, the club Guimaraes currently plays for.

Talks were said to have reached an advanced stage with the Brazilian side reportedly demanding €25m – €30m for the player.

However, the deal stalled a bit as Arsenal baulked at the money. Now they could be up against it and might have to up the ante as Lyon have stepped up their pursuit by tabling a €25m bid for the Brazilian.

Arsenal had huge success in this department last year when they signed Gabriel Martinelli who has been dubbed as a world beater by managers like Klopp and Arteta already at 18.

Do you think the Gunners should let this one go? Or sign Guimaraes?
