Arsenal’s latest offer for Lyon’s Houssem Auoar has been rejected.
The Ligue 1 outfit is aware of the interest Auoar has brandished for himself after a terrific season and is open to selling him.
Lyon Sporting director, Juninho said, “Houssem Aouar? When you have great players in the squad, it is quite logical that other bigger teams with greater economic power come to seek the players. There is a risk of losing important players. If we lose important players, I have already spoken with the president, we will have the right to balance the workforce.”
As per RMC Sport, Arsenal’s offer of €35m plus Matteo Guendouzi was turned down for Auoar. Lyon are not interested in the Frenchman Arsenal are offering and want their price tag of €60m met. Guendouzi is a player who could fetch Arsenal a decent sum of cash but it seems like, they will have to get it through a sale elsewhere.
Mikel Arteta and Guendouzi had a falling out last season only after which the midfielder has been completely boycotted from team training. The Gunners are looking to move him out but not many clubs are interested in him. There are several names that could head out the Emirates doors before figures like Thomas Partey or Auoar could walk in.
