Since joining Arsenal on loan, the youngster has particularly impressed him.
“Obviously we have Bukayo [Saka] and Emile [Smith Rowe] and they are already playing so much,” Odegaard began. “But I think one guy who hasn’t played that much lately is Gabi Martinelli.
“He’s such a big talent, you see him in training every day and you see it. He’s a really talented player with a lot of qualities, so I think definitely he’s one for the future. And he’s so young still, so I will go with him.”
Odegaard has picked up a lot of praise for himself. His work ethic in training and on the pitch has been talked about Mikel Arteta. The Norwegian has taken no time to adapt to life in England. His technical ability paired with his tenacity has made him the creative heartbeat of this team.
Martinelli, unfortunately, has seen his minutes drop due to competition in the side. He always offers a sense of relentless energy whenever he is on the pitch. Even Jurgen Klopp named him the “talent of the century” last year.
