Mesut Ozil is ready to wait out Unai Emery’s fate at Arsenal rather than to submit a transfer request for this January.
The German has been nearly boycotted from the starting lineup by Emery this season but he has remained faithful to Arsenal.
Not once has Ozil acted out in public or voiced his opinions about the manager. That just means he knows something we don’t.
Arsenal sit fifth in the Premier League going into this weekend’s game against Crystal Palace. They fell to a shocking 1-0 defeat against Sheffield United last Monday and nearly got outplayed by Vitoria SC in the mid-week Europa League fixture.
Unai Emery’s job security is certainly under question since the Spaniard has failed to show any signs of improvement despite being backed with a successful summer transfer window.
Mesut Ozil last appeared for the side in late September and in his absence, the Gunners have struggled to create convincing chances. The German has a contract till June 2021 and is still happy at North London.
A source told Bleacher Report, “It is not as simple as just walking away because that is not what he wants to do. There has to be a chance that Emery is gone before he is.”
