Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has lost the trust of manager Mikel Arteta.
The Gabon striker racked up 29 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions last season for the Gunners.
He was rewarded with a bumper new contract for his contribution in the FA Cup triumph.
This year he has been limited to a handful of appearances and hasn’t done enough to secure Arteta’s backing.
He has scored only 9 goals and made one assist in the Premier League this season compared to 22 goals last season.
Ex-footballer Dean Windass believes Arteta has lost trust in his most-coveted star.
“Don’t get me wrong, he’s a talented boy. But, like Lacazette, you can’t trust him”, said Windass in an interview with Transfer Tavern.
“They’re not going to dig in and they’re not going to pull you out if you’re getting beat. I wouldn’t want him in my team.
“Does he really want to be there? Does he think he’s better than Arsenal? That’s how it looks when he plays.”
