Arsenal Invincible Gilberto Silva hints midfield signings this transfer window

Mikel Arteta applauds Leandro Trossard’s remarkable work rate transformation

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised Leandro Trossard’s improved work rate since joining from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Gunners defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1, with goals from Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard clinching the victory.

Despite Wolves’ late goal, Arteta’s team retained their lead at the top of the Premier League standings.

Arteta, famed for restructuring his squad, moved Trossard from the wing to midfield, a move that drew praise from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Arteta expressed excitement with Trossard’s work rate in a post-match interview, stating that the Belgian’s effort on the pitch has gone through the roof.

Trossard’s adaptability was pointed out by the management, who praised his ability to work in tight quarters.

“That’s the beauty of having him, he can play as a nine, as an attacking midfielder, as a winger, he’s so intelligent and his work rate has gone through the roof, you see how he’s chasing people, how he’s pressing and he’s got this talent in small spaces to find openings and gaps, I am really happy with him,” said Arteta.

Arteta has been looking for a midfielder to replace Granit Xhaka, who left the club in the summer. Trossard’s flexibility and contributions, which include two shots on goal, two tackles, three interceptions, and a critical pass in the most recent game, show he could be the answer Arteta was looking for.

Trossard’s improved work ethic and ability in the midfield role could be key for Arteta’s side as Arsenal attempts to maintain its lead in the Premier League.
