Mikel Arteta is benefitting from his past experiences with elite managers.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has played under club legend Arsene Wenger and has worked with Pep Guardiola as an assistant at Manchester City.
Arteta has instrumented a brand of football at the Emirates and have currently found themselves at the top of the Premier League.
Former Gunners vice-chairman David Dein has compared Arteta’s style to that of Guardiola’s.
Dein said: “I think he’s [Arteta] doing really well.
“You can see the way the team are playing that he’s had a good tuition from Arsene [Wenger] and Pep [Guardiola] because he’s playing their type of football which is a pleasure to watch. It is coming through and the fact they’re doing well now means hopefully it’ll come through for them at the end of the season.
“It’s been a long time [since Arsenal won the Premier League] from the Invincibles of 2003/04. Arsenal fans would love to see the league trophy back in the cabinet. It would mean a lot obviously, the competition is so intense clearly when you have four or five clubs that can win the title.
