Mikel Arteta has delivered a positive update on Kai Havertz, stating the German forward is merely “a matter of days” away from returning to action for Arsenal.

Key Arsenal Forward Havertz Set for Quick Return After Injury

Speaking to HayersTV ahead of the Gunners’ Premier League clash with Brighton, the manager expressed his eagerness to reintegrate a player he values highly.

“He is a player that we missed a lot, a player that brings the team into a different dimension,” Arteta said.

“I am really happy to have him back soon.”

Havertz’s impending return offers a significant boost for Arsenal as they aim to finish the year at the league’s summit.

His recovery timeline is notably quicker than initially feared, with Arteta clarifying his comeback is now measured in “days, not weeks.”

The manager also provided updates on other squad members. Defender Gabriel Magalhaes continues his rehabilitation from injury and has not yet returned to training.

Arteta remains hopeful the Brazilian centre-back will be available “as quickly as possible,” especially given current defensive demands.

He praised the recent performances of summer signing Riccardo Calafiori, highlighting the defender’s versatility and aggressive mindset.

Arteta also confirmed striker Gabriel Jesus is in good condition, with the club carefully managing his minutes to build fitness after his own injury absence.

The potential return of Havertz, a key figure in Arsenal’s attacking structure, provides a timely lift for Arteta’s squad during a busy period.

The club will monitor his final steps in recovery before confirming his availability for upcoming fixtures.
