Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz are both fit and available for tonight’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium.

“Both are available” – Arteta confirms Arsenal duo ready to face Atletico Madrid

The Gunners head into the decisive clash carrying momentum after a 1-1 draw in Spain last week, followed by a dominant 3-0 Premier League victory over Fulham at home.

Arteta delivered the positive update during his pre-match press conference. “Yes, they are available,” the Spanish coach stated.

“They are in the squad, both of them. We need options, we need the capacity to play different games tomorrow, whether it’s from the start or after.

So it’s really, really good news for us to have them both back.”

Odegaard has recovered from a knee problem, while Havertz returns from a leg injury. Their presence gives Arteta valuable tactical flexibility for the high-stakes encounter.

Arsenal reached the Champions League final only once before, back in 2006, when Barcelona beat them 2-1 after Jens Lehmann’s early red card.

The Gunners now have a real opportunity to return to the summit. They already defeated Atletico 4-0 at the Emirates during the league phase this season, a result that will boost their confidence.

The first leg proved challenging at the Wanda Metropolitano, where Atletico left extra grass and water on the pitch, disrupting Arsenal’s usual passing rhythm.

However, the Emirates surface should suit the home side’s style perfectly tonight.

Despite Havertz’s return, Viktor Gyokeres looks set to continue upfront after scoring twice against Fulham.

The Swedish striker also bagged a brace in the 4-0 win over Atletico and converted a penalty in the first leg.

Odegaard could reclaim his starting spot in midfield, potentially operating alongside Eberechi Eze, who may feature from the left wing. Arsenal need a fast start and an early goal to seize control of this tie.
