Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey set October as a target for his injury return

Arsenal’s head coach, Mikel Arteta, is said to have made a serious drive to keep midfield dynamo Thomas Partey during the upcoming January transfer window. This decision, confirmed by football pundit Steve Kay on Football Transfers, comes as a relief to Arsenal fans who were concerned that the Ghanaian star might leave the club.

Despite rumors of a possible exit, Arteta is keen on keeping Partey as an important member of his squad. Arsenal, which has been criticized for failing to live up to its attacking potential, has shifted its focus this season. Arteta has chosen a controlled style of play over a free-flowing offense, resulting in an excellent defensive record that ranks them second in the Premier League.

However, Steve Kay on Football Transfer insists that’s not the case and that Arteta has decided to keep Partey beyond the January window.

He said, “Despite recent rumours saying that Thomas Partey could leave in the January transfer window, Mikel Arteta has no intention to sell him.”

“It has also been rumoured he is unhappy with his lack of game time. This, I’m told, is also untrue. There are no plans to sit down and talk about a new deal, however, so the summer may be a different story in regard to him leaving.”

Thomas Partey has been crucial in determining the tempo and allowing vertical passes in Arsenal’s attack, filling a critical hole in the squad. Even excellent midfield talent like Declan Rice has been unable to replicate his impact, showing his significance.

Partey has only made three Premier League starts this season due to injuries. According to reports, his camp became unhappy due to a lack of playing time, sparking rumors of a possible exit. Juventus also expressed interest, but only on a loan basis.

However, Arteta’s decision to keep Partey shows his belief in the player’s worth to the team’s present system as well as his desire to keep Arsenal competitive for the rest of the season. Arsenal fans can now expect to see the Ghanaian maestro at the Emirates Stadium for the foreseeable future.
