Mikel Arteta issues fresh squad update ahead of Villa clash.
The Gunners will be welcoming Aston Villa on Wednesday night for their midweek clash at the Emirates Stadium.
Both Thomas Partey and Alex Zinchenko got injured in the training session and missed Arsenal’s 2-1 win last week.
While both players don’t have any serious concerns, they are unlikely to feature in the midweek tie.
“I don’t think so,” said the Spaniard when asked if they’d be available for selection.
“We still have to make another scan, especially on Thomas to see the length but I don’t think they will be available.”
It is also reported that Mohamed Elneny is suffering from a hamstring injury and could be unavailable.
Mikel Arteta shares his view on using Zinchenko as a midfielder in some games.
he said: “He’s one of the options [in midfield], we can use him as an attacking midfielder, a holding midfielder.
“Of course, he’s an option, he’s played there, I think he’s really good, really comfortable playing there as well, so, it’s great to have players that can give us that versatility.”
