The Gabon international has taken to his new manager, scoring the first goal under him against Bournemouth last week.
Arteta did walk into a difficult situation at the Emirates. He has been tasked with turning around Arsenal’s season as the team currently sits in the bottom half of the Premier League table. Their display at Dean Court had a lot of positives which the manager himself admitted.
“He’s started with the basics and we’re working a lot tactically,” Aubameyang said. “He has great ideas, so we’ll try to follow him by working hard. He’s a good man. He was a player like us so there’s a good feeling in the dressing room.
“Everybody was working hard. We had a good attitude and we were trying to play how he wants to play, how we want to play. We are on a good way. Hopefully, we can improve. We know the next games are quite hard but we are confident.”
Aubameyang has been tipped to leave North London after a rather unsuccessful spell in terms of trophies. The 30-year-old is in his peak and was heavily getting linked to the European big guns – Real Madrid and Barcelona. Thankfully, he has bought into Arteta’s management style just ahead of the January transfer window.
