Despite maintaining a 100% record against the Reds in his managerial career, Arteta believes the Reds have only got better.
That certainly seemed so when they beat Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge the last time out, right after going toe-to-toe with Leeds United in a 4-3 thriller. Liverpool hardly look like a side who are still complacent from a title-winning season.
If anything, Klopp’s men look hungrier than ever as they welcome Arsenal at Anfield on Monday night. When asked if this Liverpool side has any weaknesses, Arteta replied, “I think they are getting better and better and they have less weaknesses.
“They are a fantastic side. The issue with the weaknesses of opponents is how many you are able to exploit and how many opportunities you get to do that.
“With all the incredible things that they have, you know that they are going to try and still be able to do them. So I want to focus on what we can do and what we have to do and control our own aspects.”
Both teams are undefeated so far into the season but the Gunners are tipped to lose that tag quicker than Liverpool. After all, Arsenal have a torrid record at Anfield in recent years, collecting their last win there in 2012.
