Mikel Arteta believes that Arsenal dominated the game last night.

The Gunners won 1-0 against Leicester City last night to regain control of the title race.

A 25th-minute striker by Leandro Trossard was ruled out by VAR because Ben White seemingly fouled Foxes’ keeper Danny Ward.

They were again denied a penalty when Bukayo Saka went down and no penalty was awarded after VAR check.

This was Arsenal’s first clean sheet after seven games in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta has been quite vocal about the VAR this season but was reluctant to comment again on the usage of the technology.

The North London side was denied twice by the match officials in their 1-0 win over Leicester last night.

He said: “I haven’t seen the replay. The decision is made. What can we do?

“It’s a shame because he put it in the top bin and it was a great finish. But we managed to recover so we don’t get too upset about that decision.

“But the fact we are not conceding goals and giving away chances is really important if you want to be constantly winning matches.

“Again, I don’t want to talk more about those decisions. Fortunately today, it didn’t matter.”
