Arsenal have no intention of selling the Brazilian midfielder anytime soon.
Gabriel Magalhaes was left out of the starting XI in Arsenal’s two opening games of the season.
He has been linked with a move away from the Emirates after Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad took an interest in the Brazilian defender.
Gabriel has been established as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League and it is surprising to see Arteta benching a player who started every single game for Arsenal last season.
Real Madrid are also keen on the 25-year-old as Ancelotti looks to bring in cover for the injured Eder Militao.
But Mikel Arteta has dismissed any reports of him leaving the Emirates this summer.
Arteta said: ‘No, nothing at all.
‘It’s about the games we were expecting, that I was expecting, and how I wanted to defend and attack and what I believed was the best thing.
‘He’s played in both games, he helped us to win both games for different reasons.
‘He was really good today, he absolutely dominated the box when he came on and he’s going to play a lot of games. But that’s the decision sometimes.’
