Bukayo Saka limped off in Arsenal’s 2-1 Champions League defeat at Lens.
The England international earlier picked up a knock in the 2-2 home draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
The winger was included in the lineup against Lens but was forced off with a muscle injury in just 34 minutes.
Saka is expected to undergo a scan to find the severity of the injury and remains doubtful for the weekend clash against league champions Manchester City.
The Arsenal academy graduate has been a regular in Arteta’s side and started 87 consecutive league games.
So far, Saka has registered five goals and five assists in 10 games across all competitions.
Manager Mikel Arteta confirms Saka’s injury is a huge concern ahead of Man City tie.
“He tried to backheel a ball in the first half and he felt something,” said Arteta. “It was something muscular. He was uncomfortable and we had to take him off.
“We don’t know anything more than that. Obviously, it was big enough not to allow him to continue to play the game and that is obviously a worry for us.
“I have no clue, [about the weekend], I don’t know.”
