Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Arsenal will be without five key players for their upcoming Premier League clash against Leicester City.

Arteta Reveals Five Key Players Will Miss Leicester City Showdown

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Arteta revealed that David Raya, Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Mikel Merino will all miss Saturday’s fixture.

Arteta expressed frustration over the current injury situation, particularly with Raya and White’s uncertain availability throughout the week.

Both had been in contention but ultimately failed to recover in time for the Emirates showdown.

“We pushed them as much as we could,” Arteta said.

“But they’re not ready, and we have to respect that.”

Odegaard, who picked up an ankle injury on international duty with Norway, continues his recovery but remains sidelined.

Zinchenko is also unavailable as he deals with a muscular issue that has kept him out for several weeks.

Arsenal’s midfield options have taken another blow with new signing Mikel Merino, who suffered an injury in training soon after joining the club.

Despite the absences, Arteta remained optimistic about his squad’s depth, particularly with several players returning from injury.

“We’ve had a tough run, but this is the Premier League. Every team has to deal with injuries. What matters is how we adapt,” he explained.

Arsenal are looking to build momentum after a difficult period and with some key players expected to return soon after the international break, Arteta believes his side can push through this challenging phase.

“We have the quality to get results, even with these setbacks,” he said confidently.
