Inter Milan has once more dropped out of the competition to sign Folarin Balogun, with RC Lens and AS Monaco both planning to make offers
Inter Milan reportedly withdrew from the race to sign Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun for the second time this month.
Inter Milan first prioritised a bid for Balogun, but after failing to persuade Arsenal to decrease the asking price, the club turned to Gianluca Scamacca.
Inter sent Balogun back when Scamacca left for Atalanta. The Italian team has since withdrew once more as a result of Arsenal’s refusal to compromise on their demands.
Balogun is free to choose to join AS Monaco or another team after Inter informed Arsenal and his camp that they are withdrawing from the competition, according to Alfredo Pedulla. According to RMC Sport, Monaco will try again to get Balogun after having a previous offer of roughly €40 million (£34.6 million) rejected.
According to Mohamed Toubache-Ter, fellow Ligue 1 team Lens has joined the competition while Monaco is still unquestionably a contender. Last year, Lens placed second in Ligue 1, and they will participate in the Champions League this year. Inter Milan doesn’t appear to be going to be in the bidding war that Arsenal was looking for. Until they perform their third U-turn of the month, which will happen in a few days.
