Napoli extends Arsenal a chance at Osimhen deal: one condition looms large
Napoli have been reported to have offered Arsenal the chance to sign prolific striker Victor Osimhen. Arsenal are looking at alternatives for a prolific goalscorer, possibly in the coming January transfer window or the following summer, after recognizing the need to add to their offensive lineup.
Victor Osimhen, regarded as one of the world’s most formidable strikers, is the subject of transfer talks. Following a reported dispute between Osimhen and Napoli club officials as a result of a mocking incident on the club’s TikTok channel, Napoli seems willing to cut ways with the Nigerian attacker next summer. The Italian club is thought to be open to talks with Arsenal if certain conditions are met.
However, the condition imposed by Napoli may be a problem for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. Napoli wants Gabriel Jesus as part of the deal, as well as a large transfer fee, since Jesus was acquired by Arsenal for £50 million, which is much less than Osimhen’s estimate of over £100 million. Gabriel Jesus has been an integral part of Arteta’s tackle at Emirates Stadium, making this a difficult decision for the Arsenal camp.
