Newcastle United is eyeing as many as four players from Arsenal during this January transfer window. They were already planning for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who is currently playing for Gabon in AFCON.
According to The Telegraph, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the most high profile of those being considered. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has chosen not to select Gabon international, who is the club’s highest-paid player.
If Aubameyang joins Magpies, then it would be the best solution for both clubs.
He is one of several forwards who could be on their way out of north London with Eddie Nketiah another.
The Forward has rejected the offer of a new deal and will be a free agent in the summer.
Arsenal could look to cut their losses with Newcastle also keen on the Englishman, who would provide more firepower. Newcastle could also look to take advantage of the lack of minutes being given to Mohamed Elneny.
Rob Holding is the Arsenal player to be linked with a move to St James’ Park.
He is currently behind Ben White and Gabriel in the pecking order which may factor into any decision he makes on his future.
