Newcastle star striker Alexander Isak reacts to Arsenal transfer links

Alexander Isak, a striker for Newcastle United, says he isn’t worried by rumours about Arsenal and is still focused on his game. While playing for Real Sociedad, the Swedish international was linked to the Gunners. However, in August 2022, he signed a club record to join Newcastle. But now that there are rumours that contract talks with his present club have stopped, new connections have surfaced.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and other teams have taken notice of the 6′ 4in forward after he scored 40 goals and provided seven assists in 78 appearances. The Gunners’ interest in the 25-year-old has reportedly increased as a result of the stalling of negotiations over a new contract at St. James’ Park. In spite of this, Isak has responded negatively to such conjecture.

According to reports this week, there has been a breakdown between the two parties on a new agreement. Isak, however, maintained that there have never been “any problems” at Newcastle because he is entirely focused on the current Premier League season. “I have never discussed or really commented on the move rumours during the season in my entire career,” Isak told fotbollskanalen. It has been discussed in numerous years of this kind. Isak claims that it has no bearing on him.

I’ve never had any issues in Newcastle, and I’m talking about my circumstances there. We’re going to have an amazing season, and I’m totally focused on my job there. There are still plenty of excellent chances for that. I don’t think about anything else. However, when asked explicitly if talks for a new contract are still ongoing with Newcastle, Isak said, “No comment.”

Due to Kai Havertz’s recent decline in form, Arsenal has once again been without a recognized number nine this season.
