Nicolas Pepe could force a move away from the Emirates.
The Ivory Coast winger has featured in only seven of Arsenal’s last 15 Premier League games so far this season.
He has recently been ignored by Mikel Arteta who instead opts for Gabriel Martinelli or Eddie Nketiah in several games.
Pepe was on the bench in Arsenal’s disappointing 2-1 loss against Everton but the manager called upon Nketiah to replace the injured Martinelli.
Nketiah himself has his own concerns of lack of game time and will likely leave the North London club in the summer when his contract expires after rejecting several new offers from the club.
Mikel Arteta explained why he chose to bring on Nketiah instead of Pepe.
‘Because I decided to play Eddie today, to bring him on,’ Arteta said.
‘He created three chances and hit the post in the space of 25 minutes I think.
‘He does everything in training what you saw him do in 25 minutes here. Every single day. That’s why I picked him.’
