The Ivorian winger is unhappy at Arsenal due to limited game time under Mikel Arteta this season.
The 26-year old forward has barely featured in the last two months as the manager deputises the youngsters in the first-team.
He scored twice against Sunderland in the mid-week Carabao Cup fixture and also bagged two assists.
The Gunners are currently sitting at 4th in the Premier League table and most players are performing at the highest level.
With Bukayo Saka in blistering form, the Ivorian winger will struggle to find more minutes on the pitch.
Manager Mikel Arteta has admitted that the Frenchman is dejected with his current situation.
“A player that doesn’t play, if he’s happy you have a big problem and Nico has not been happy,” said Arteta.
“He’s been trying to challenge us and asking us for more minutes because this is what he wants to do, and rightly so, and this is the attitude that we want from our players.”
