Eddie Nketiah has informed Arsenal that he is leaving the club, according to The Daily Mail. The Gunners striker is struggling to get a chance in Arteta’s setup this term. His contract will expire at Arsenal at the end of this season.
He has been linked with a move to various European clubs. Some other reports also state that he could be given a contract extension at Arsenal. It’s not happening now as Eddie Nketiah has now informed the Arsenal he would leave the club.
The 22-year-old isn’t prolific enough to be relied on by Mikel Arteta. Arsenal boss needs a striker and Arteta feels Nketiah has not shown enough to complete his attack.
The North London club would try to make some money from his sale by placing him on the market in the winter. His departure may help Arsenal to get a good replacement in that position.
