Eddie Nketiah has yet to report to practise in advance of Thursday’s encounter between Arsenal and Sporting CP
Eddie Nketiah was noticeably missing from Arsenal’s final practise before their Europa League last-16 second-leg match against Sporting CP on Thursday.
At the weekend, Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard rejoined the group, and they are both still participating in first-team practises.
On Sunday, Martin Odegaard and Kieran Tierney also returned from sickness. However, it appears that Eddie Nketiah’s foot issue is still not resolved. It is now proving what Goal originally said, which was that he might not be available again until after the international break.
The only other player not present is Mohamed Elneny, who is anticipated to miss the entire season. Amario Cozier-Duberry entered the practise at the same time that he did so for the Fulham game few days ago.
If not for a minor injury that kept him out of last week’s squad in Lisbon, the young winger might have made the team, but it now appears that he might get a place on the extended bench on Thursday.
