Nuno Santo has refused to get himself involved in rumours linking him to Arsenal.
Unai Emery is very close to facing the sack at North London after winning just 2 of their last 12 Premier League games.
Tensions were high last weekend when the Gunners could only manage a 2-2 draw against 19th placed Southampton. Raul Sanllehi and technical director, Edu stormed out of the stands right after the final whistle.
Nuno Santo has shot to the top of Arsenal’s wishlist but Wolves custodian, Rui Patricio wants his manager to stick with the Wanderers. When asked about the recent links, Patricio said, “For the club to develop and become greater it’s not just about the coach but also good staff behind the scenes. We have to work hard as a team and staff.
“Stability is important at any club. Nuno is an outstanding coach and he’s also a leader. It’s very important to keep Nuno at the club, not only for the players but for the club as well. We have ambitions in this competition.”
Nuno did not reveal any details of a potential meeting. “I think you know me well enough and you know that I’m not going to answer about that,” he said. “I will never mention an issue that’s not a reality. Mainly because the job has a manager in it. It would be disrespectful.”
