Official: Bukayo Saka Signs New 4-Year Arsenal Contract

Arsenal have secured Bukayo Saka’s future until June 2024 after months of speculation regarding his future.

He has put pen to paper on a new deal and not an extension to his current one. Saka was entering his final year of his contract with the Gunners as he broke into the senior side this season.

Unai Emery offered him a chance in the first team and the 18-year-old grasped it with all his might. He shone under all three managers and is a regular under Mikel Arteta. Saka has impressed at left-back, at midfield and now, in the front three as well. His versatility, intelligence, skill and determination is a huge asset in this Arsenal side – making him a star in the making.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and several other European outfits were circling after hearing about Saka’s contract situation. Fans were relieved to see the teenage sensation “sign da ting”. Of course, as he continues to develop in this Gunners side, talks will once again come up about handing him a salary bump in two years time.

Arsenal have notoriously let their best players leave due to untracked contract troubles. They handed David Luiz an extension and signed Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares to four-year deals prior to Saka’s signing. Now, the aim will be to tie down Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who is also in the final 12 months of his deal with the North Londoners.
