Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has penned down a new contract at the Emirates.
The Gunners have been in talks to extend the Brazilian’s contract for a few months now as Martinelli publicly stated his desire to stay in the Emirates.
He has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal until the summer of 2027 but the deal is yet to be announced officially.
The 21-year-old winger broke into the first team a few seasons back and has been a pivotal figure for Arteta this campaign.
He has scored seven goals and made two assists in 19 Premier League appearances and is playing a vital role in Arsenal’s chase toward their first Premier League title after 19 years.
This new contract will see vastly improved terms for the Brazilian attacker whose contract was running out in 2024.
“I want to stay they just need to give me a pen,” Martinelli told reporters when asked about his contract in early November. “I am very happy at Arsenal. I said it many times, I love to be here. I love the city, I love everything about Arsenal so I want to stay.”
The Gunners are also looking to secure long-term contracts for players Bukayo Saka and William Saliba.
