The Spaniard will replace Arsene Wenger next season
Unai Emery has been appointed as the new manager of Arsenal. He has signed a three-year deal worth £15 million after holding talks with the club.
Spaniard will succeed Arsene Wenger who has left the London club after 22 years, winning 10 major trophies which includes 7 FA Cups and 3 Premier Leagues.
The Premier League giants were linked with host of managers and their former player Mikel Arteta was tipped to be the favourite to took charge over the club next season. But former PSG boss has pipped Arteta to the role.
After mutually agreeing, Emery left the Ligue 1 champions earlier this month after winning domestic treble with them. He has also won 3 Europa League with Sevilla before moving to Paris.
The 46 year old claimed he was very thrilled to join of the biggest clubs in the world.
‘I am thrilled to be joining one of the great clubs in the game. Arsenal is known and loved throughout the world for its style of play, its commitment to young players, the fantastic stadium, the way the club is run,’ Emery said as quoted by Daily Mail
