According to Italian news publication, Calcio Mercato, Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil is looking to make his way out of the club in search of regular football.
The report claims that the German’s agents are looking for a possible way out of the Emirates next summer and are understood to have notified Inter Milan regarding his availability.
Ozil did not even make the bench for the 1-2 win over Huddersfield Town last weekend, registering only 100 minutes of football for the Gunner since the break of the new year. He seems to have fallen out of Unai Emery’s plans at North London and is ready to take his talents elsewhere.
Various news outlets reported on Emery’s dissatisfaction with Ozil’s work rate and output on the pitch, some even claiming incident of a fallout during training. It is unclear whether there is any personal tension between the duo but it is distinctly clear that the attacking midfielder’s importance to the club is not defined by the paycheque he cashes out every week.
He previously did get offered to the Nerazzurri during the previous transfer window but Luciano Spaletti’s side declined to make an official approach due to the player’s mammoth sized contract.
If Emery does plan on shipping out Ozil in the summer window to raise more funds for newer additions, he will find it hard to arrive on a suitor willing to pay the German’s wage demands.
