Gabriel Jesus says he is interested in joining one of his former teams, but he maintains that staying at Arsenal until the conclusion of his contract is his first priority. Jesus has scored 26 goals in 96 games since moving from Manchester City to the Gunners in 2022 for £45 million.

The Brazilian played a significant role at the Emirates Stadium during his first two years in north London, although he missed the second half of the previous season due to an injury. Jesus hasn’t totally healed from an ACL injury he sustained against Manchester United in January, but he recently stated that he was making great progress in his recuperation.

Jesus was left off of Arsenal’s first Champions League lineup, which might alter following the group phase, and his exact recuperation timeline is yet uncertain. Arsenal is reportedly “open” to bids for Jesus prior to the January transfer window, while Palmeiras has publicly stated its desire to bring him back to Brazil.

Arsenal striker considers returning to his old club

Jesus has recently mentioned how wonderfully his healing process is progressing. The team has not yet disclosed a timeframe for his return, but he is almost at his best once more. The supporters have undoubtedly been deeply affected by his absence. However, Arsenal’s medical staff is optimistic that he will be back on the pitch by the end of this year.

The increased interest from other clubs does not support his desire to remain in North London. Palmeiras, the young player’s first club in Brazil, has indicated a wish for him to return. Arsenal may be accepting offers as early as when the January transfer window opens, according to sources.

Fans are already divided on whether this would be a wise decision for both sides. The player is viewed differently by the supporters. Some believe that due to his strong ties to the team, he should return to Palmeiras. Others, however, maintain that he should remain in Europe because he has much more to offer at the highest level.
