Moussa Diaby is reportedly a target for Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain is the latest team to be linked to a summer interest

According to The Evening Standard, Paris Saint-Germain is anticipated to compete with Arsenal for the summer transfer of Moussa Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen. The Standard reports that Leverkusen refused to release Diaby mid-season despite Arsenal’s interest in him during the winter transfer window. With two years remaining on his contract, this summer looks like a better moment to make a profit.

PSG isn’t the only team that has reportedly been vying for Diaby with Arsenal. Leverkusen anticipates receiving a compensation in excess of €60 million (£52 million) to part ways with the winger, according to a recent report from Sport Bild, and Newcastle United is preparing an offer for him.

According to The Telegraph, Arsenal is one of the teams who have expressed interest in Diaby ahead of the summer transfer season. The Daily Mail reports that Mikel Arteta is aiming to strengthen his team if at all feasible, and that Diaby is one of Arsenal’s top objectives.

However, it appears that PSG and Newcastle are both interested in their former player, so he won’t be cheap. Diaby, who has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen through 2025, has 49 goals and 48 assists in 168 games altogether. This season, he has 14 goals and 11 assists.

The 23-year-old can play on either wing and is a France international. Diaby is working hard to help his present team win the Europa League before the season is done. Leverkusen trailed AS Roma 1-0 after the first game, but the second leg will be played at home the following Thursday.
