Former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor believes Tyrone Mings deserved a call-up ahead of Ben White for the ongoing Nations League games.
The Arsenal defender recently withdrew himself from the England squad due to injury but was initially called up by manager Gareth Southgate.
Both Mings and White had a consistent season for their respective clubs but the former was not included in the 27-man list.
Agbonlahor is not happy with the decision and claims Mings had a better season than Arsenal’s Ben White.
He told Football Insider: “Ben White’s been very poor.
“He got into the England squad before Tyrone Mings this time which I think is a disaster.
“That Newcastle game he was dreadful because Arsenal are a bigger club than Aston Villa in some people’s eyes that’s why he got in.
“Definitely the big club bias is still there.”
