The Gunners have agreed on personal terms with Man City forward Gabriel Jesus and the deal could be announced as early as this week.
Arsenal are expected to spend heavy this summer just like last season.
They have already made three major signings this summer and are expected to make two or more further.
They have been heavily linked with Raphinha and Tielemans and former Arsenal academy player Jay Bothroyd would want both at Arsenal in the new season.
“There is talk about Tielemans, which I think would be great,” said Bothroyd. “But they haven’t done that yet. I would love to see Raphinha there. I think he would be great.
“I am looking at Martinelli. I think Arteta gave him a really good opportunity to stake his claim with a starting place and he didn’t take his chance. That’s why I think Arteta is now looking for other possibilities.”
