Krzysztof Piatek has quickly gained the reputation of being one of the most lethal forwards in the Serie A after grabbing 19 goals with both Genoa and AC Milan this season.
The 23-year-old, who was signed by the Rossoneri last January for €35m has been vocal about his admiration for Arsenal.
He told Tuttosport, “I loved the style of Wenger and I admired players like Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp.”
The forward is often celebrating his goals in a particular manner which has come to be known as the pistelero. When asked about it, he said, “I did it after that I scored a goal once and from that moment it remained the same.”
“It’s a habit now and it brings good luck so I am not going to change it. I see people go crazy for this celebration here in Italy.”
To put things into the perspective of Gunners fans, Piatek only came into Italy this season and has already become a star in the league. He is touted to be the next big thing for the Polish national side, who have been led by the Bundesliga scoring machine, Robert Lewandowski in the past decade.
Even if Arsenal are not interested in signing a forward at this very moment, Unai Emery might not have to look too far if he ever comes in need of a quality attacker.
