According to Marca and Cadena SER, Los Blancos have slapped a €90 million (approx. £77 million) price tag on the Brazilian winger.
Tipped to be a key player in Xabi Alonso’s plan, Rodrygo finds himself overshadowed by the likes of Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Arda Guler, Franco Mastantuono, and others.
That limited role — including being dropped entirely after initial Club World Cup minutes — has clearly put him in the shop window.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have sounded him out via intermediaries, reportedly engaged in talks with his representatives since May.
Gunners centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes has publicly endorsed the move, calling Rodrygo a “phenomenon” on the Brazilian podcast PodPah:
“He’s a phenomenon… If it was up to me, of course [I want him at Arsenal]!”
For Real Madrid, the sale serves a strategic purpose: fund the midfield reinforcements Alonso is keen on, especially after missing out on key recruits.
