One of Arsenal’s best signings in the last summer transfer window is Takehiro Tomiyasu, and he joined the club from Bologna in Serie A
The Italian top flight is known for producing some of Europe’s greatest defenders, so it’s no surprise that Tomi has performed well since moving to the Emirates. His outstanding performance may have prompted Arsenal to pursue another right-back in that tournament.
According to sources, the Gunners are among the teams interested in signing Udinese midfielder Nahuel Molina. The 24-year-old Argentinian is having a strong season in the Italian top flight, and numerous clubs want to sign him.
In the summer transfer window, the Gunners will face competition from Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
Adding another quality right-back to our roster when we already have Tomi may not appear to be the ideal choice.
However, winning teams invest much in squad depth, something we lack at the Emirates. After Arsenal add players to reinforce other areas, it would be a good idea to replace Cedric Soares with Molina as our backup right-back.
