The 46-year-old left the Gunners after the 2019 January window and has been swooped up by the Bundesliga outfit. He is expected to be in charge of their player transfers for the upcoming year at least.
This might come as a shock to many since Mislintat’s services were being pursued by so many clubs. The German’s work resume includes a lot of impressive records with both Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.
Stuttgart are currently in the relegation zone and Mislintat has reportedly given word that he will stay even if they go down to the second division.
Earlier reports had linked him with a move to Bayern Munich but the German giant immediately denied those claims. Raphael Honigstein had said that the talent spotter would join ranks of another Premier League outfit.
He said on the Transfer Talk podcast at the start of April, “It’s my understanding he sees his future at the Premier League at a different club.
“He’s had a lot of offers before moving to Arsenal so this should not seen in my view as a result of Bayern Munich trying to lure him away or doing something that changed his mind or turned his head.
“This is really completely independent and only is to do with his relationship with the other people at Arsenal.”
