Arsenal have had a change in their results since the takeover of Mikel Arteta.
The North London club under Unai Emery were going nowhere as they were being held back by the manager’s regressive playing style.
They had good attacking players in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe and Mesut Ozil.
However, the manager had no clue how to use them. Now under Mikel Arteta the system has changed.
The players first and foremost are playing to a system, committed to a cause, and giving their hearts for an Arsenal which we are used to seeing – high tempo, more attack, high press from the back.
Naturally he has won the fans over and they are playing well despite the system being a little tweaky.
Arteta plays to a system that is akin to Arsenal fans. They are very happy to see their old football back.
More than that, they also have a star in Arteta who has played for and led the club before.
This has given the club great belief. It seems the players are coming together as well. Their new captain Aubameyang has committed to the club whole heartedly and Arsenal could well be on the verge of a great era again!
