Chelsea are prepared to part ways with the young striker and they would not mind selling him to a direct rival.
Abraham has also drawn links to West Ham United and other Premier League sides. Arsenal has shockingly emerged as favourites in the race for him. Mikel Arteta already has Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as his senior forwards. Folarin Balogun has just been handed a new deal and expected to feature as well.
It is unclear how Abraham will fit into the side. The England international has been strongly urged to leave Chelsea for the betterment of his career.
“You get to a point where you have got to know your worth,” Carlton Cole told talkSPORT.
“He has gone on loan and done really well at Aston Villa, Swansea and came back to Chelsea and done well. They still don’t value him the way they should do and the way he feels he should be valued.
“He didn’t play at the backend of last season and he is not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans obviously because he didn’t play.
“Tuchel doesn’t fancy him and I would look at other options if I were him and say, ‘let me go and be the main man somewhere.'”
