Two more Arsenal youth players have been promoted to this season’s senior squad – Joel Lopez and James Hilson. UEFA’s rules for the 2019/20 season is that the “A List” must contain 8 locally grown players which can be a “club trained player” or an “association trained player”.
Clubs can also include a second list called “List B” which can include unlimited youth players who have been associated with the club since turning 15.
Arsenal have a string of new signings and promoted young talents who are expected to feature in this year’s Europa League matches. Gabriel Martinelli has shown a lot of promise in the pre-season and is expected to play important minutes on the wings just as Reiss Nelson.
Joe Willock has broken through to the Premier League squad but his name should be in most starting 11s in this competition.
