Can you imagine Kieran Tierney being ruled out as a flop after the season that he just had?
Arsenal signed the left-back in August for £25m and has only seen him feature in 5 Premier League games this season.
The Scotsman has struggled with injuries ever since his switch from Celtic. He brought knee and hip issues along with him to the Emirates which took him three months to recover from. Once he did return, a freak shoulder injury against West Ham United kept him sidelined for yet another three months after which the Coronavirus pandemic took over.
Former Scotland international, Kevin Gallacher has his faith on Tierney fully adapting to the Premier League. He said, “I can sympathise with Kieran. He has moved away from home for the first time to another country. It can, as I can testify, be difficult.
“You’re nervous, you want to do well, there is more tension there, you aren’t as relaxed when you play. He has cost a lot of money and people are watching him to see how he does. Then he gets himself injured. Arsenal have been going through a difficult period as well which probably hasn’t helped.”
“I know the quality Kieran has,” he continued. “He just has to show that consistently for Arsenal. It is only a matter of time before he comes good. He has just got to get through this period. When he does that there will be no stopping him.”
