William Saliba could be a part of Mikel Arteta’s squad next season.

The French defender has been brilliant for Marseille this season and is yet to make his first senior appearance for Arsenal.

His performance led him to break into the French national side earning two national caps in the process.

Since his move to Arsenal in 2019, he endured loan spells at Saint-Etienne, Nice, and now Marseille.

Club legend Thierry Henry was unimpressed with the way Saliba was treated by Arsenal.

“I think it’s a real shame. They didn’t let him make a mistake. He was sent away without even being able to make a mistake. He didn’t have the chance to prove himself,” Henry fumed to Amazon Prime after Saliba continued to impress in France.

He added: “What he is doing here is extraordinary. He was rewarded with a selection for the France team. At the moment, he belongs to Arsenal, I don’t know where he will end up.”
