Thomas Partey content with Arsenal’s progress last season.
The 28-year-old midfielder missed Arsenal’s last nine Premier League games due to a thigh injury he sustained in a game against Crystal Palace.
His injury had a massive impact on the squad even though Mohammed Elneny stepped up towards the end of the campaign.
The Gunners would be looking to get a new central midfielder in the summer with Youri Tielemans their primary target.
The Belgian has just one year left on his contract with the Foxes and could be available as low as £20million.
But Partey who recently converted to Islam believes Arsenal had a ‘great season’ last year.
Partey said to Joy Sports: ‘For me, winning is the most important.
‘It’s important to play well and have dominance in the game but in the end, if you don’t win, you don’t feel happy personally.
‘They (Manchester City) were the best team at that moment and we were able to play them at that level. In that end, we had a great season, short in the end but we had a great season.’
