During the January transfer window, three players may depart Arsenal. Andrea Berta will be trying to improve the team next month as the Gunners prepare for the season’s business end. Mikel Arteta has only won one significant title since taking Unai Emery’s place six years ago.

Arsenal won the FA Cup shortly after Pep Guardiola’s former assistant took over at the Emirates Stadium in December 2019. At Wembley Stadium, Arteta guided the north Londoners to a win over Chelsea behind closed doors with the team of his predecessor.

Since then, he hasn’t held a trophy or raised a piece of hardware in front of the club’s supporters. The Spaniard has only won a few Community Shields and a few Premier League runners-up trophies in the following years. Berta has to be prepared to take advantage of the January transfer window since Arteta will be eager to finally break his duck.

Arsenal surprise loan exit as Mikel Arteta faces tough January transfer

Only when Jakub Kiwior joined FC Porto on loan did Andrea Berta deftly negotiate a loan deal for Piero Hincapie as well. The club has two Premier League loan berths available, but it will undoubtedly be difficult to locate a player of the necessary calibre.

Many of the best teams in Europe, especially those in Germany and England, are keeping an eye on Ethan Nwaneri. Although the player was thought to be on the verge of leaving in the summer, the team ultimately managed to persuade him to sign a new contract. The eighteen-year-old continues to play seldom.

The likelihood of a loan this winter or next summer has increased significantly if he is not given more opportunities, particularly with games against Portsmouth and Kairat Almaty coming up. One part of Berta’s programme that hasn’t been well examined or evaluated is selling. Nevertheless, it seems doubtful that there will be any significant exits at this time.
