Crystal Palace star, Wilfried Zaha has submitted a transfer request to his employers after a 12th Premier League finish this season.
The 26-year-old is wanted by a plethora of trophy contending sides including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United. Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan have registered their interests as well.
Zaha has apparently told the Eagles of his wishes to leave the South London club this summer. After close to 8 years at Selhurst Park, the Ivory Coast international wishes to leave for greener pastures.
Palace are hesitant towards selling their best player but reports claim, that they would accept bids higher or in the region of £80m. Zaha signed a contract extension last summer, stretching his ties with the club till June 2023.
He is a bonafide star at Selhurst Park and possibly in the Premier League but questions lie about his discipline on the pitch. While his talent with the ball is undeniable, top teams would think long and hard before shelling out £80m.
Arsenal are known to have kept the attacker on their shortlist for quite a while now. Unai Emery is looking to add some width and creativity to his offensive lineup but the Gunners will struggle to cough up Palace’s asking fee.
Spurs are paralysed by the financial burden of rebuilding their stadium which makes United the favourites in the domestic market. With Zaha making his intentions clear, it is now upon all the interested parties to turn up their efforts to sign him.
