Arsenal manager, Unai Emery has asked his players to manage their emotions after the weekend loss to Everton.
The Gunners damaged their chances of finishing in the top four by losing 1-0 at the Goodison Park. During what was a very tense fixture between two sides, managers of both teams got involved in an argument after Dominic Calver-Lewin was brought down by Shkodran Mustafi near the touchline.
Mesut Ozil was noticed throwing his jacket at Marco Silva all the way from the substitute benches.
When asked about the incident after the match, Emery said, “We need to limit our frustration and we are learning that.”
The German midfielder had a rough time on the pitch, struggling to get things going in the final third. But the decision that shocked many was Emery’s decision to make him the captain.
Nevertheless, the Gunners boss chose to stay positive in the wake of a pitiful display from his team. He said, “[It was] not a good result but we are in a good way, we are fourth in the table.”
“We have a big match against Napoli in midweek and the next week against Watford is a positive game for us,” he continued. “We lost but we need to get back up quickly and find the next win.”
